First Post & Plans
Hello there! (Insert Prequels meme here)
If you’re reading this, welcome to my little project site for everything I have going on! Which at the moment is my live streaming on my Twitch channel, designs, videos, podcasts, and whatever else may pop up in the mean time. I am entirely too obsessed with starting projects and never really finishing them or even progressing too far into them. Which is why I’m starting this little blog of mine, to not only serve as a place to document my thoughts and goals, but to hold myself accountable to anyone that may stumble across my little site here. I know it’s not much right now, but if you’ll bear with me for a little bit and take my hand, we’ll find a fun adventure together I’m sure!
With that being said, if you have stumbled upon this blog and have no idea what you’ve found, let me introduce myself!
I’m Wickerfiend, or Wicker, or Wick, or Edgar! At the time that I’m writing this, I’m a 26 year old average nerd who spends way too much time on the internet. I enjoy playing games of any variety (except turn-based RPG’s, I’m sorry Final Fantasy fans), binge-watching television shows (at the moment I’ve watched 4 seasons of Lucifer over the course of three week), reading books, and picking up hobbies. Most hobbies tend to be in the realm of creativity such as music production, live streaming, video making, or graphic design.
The biggest thing about me though….I love theme parks. I love Disney World, I love Universal Studios, I love tourist traps! I’m not entirely sure where it started, but I can pinpoint a few hallmarks. It all started back with Camp Snoopy park inside the Mall of America in Minnesota. My family used to take me there all the time, and something about immersing myself into a new place felt wonderful. After that, we (my family and I) would go over to Wisconsin Dells, a tourist trap town of epic proportions. And I LOVED it. We kept going back every other year or so for a while. And then stopped.
In 2015, we decided to take a trip down to Orlando just to see how it was, to see what all the fuss was about. Could it actually be the happiest place on Earth?
Holy bojangles, yes it was. I had never felt truly happy until that day. The day I stepped through the gates at Universal Studios. The magic, the wonder, the excitement of everything going on around me. It reinvigorated me in ways I’ve never felt before. I was hooked, I was addicted, I still am. Disney is what got me hooked though, Disney World and everything about it just makes me so happy. I could talk for hours about it, and at this point I just may. This blog was originally meant to be for my projects but hey, maybe I’ll just make it a theme park blog.
I kid, I kid, or maybe. I’m not sure what this will turn into, but at this point, I’m looking forward to starting this journey, and I hope you’re excited too!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my ramblings!
Much love,
~Wick
